Congressman Bob Gibbs Announces Community Office Hours Schedule for November and December

October 27, 2011
Press Release

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today U.S. Congressman Bob Gibbs announced his community office hours schedule for November and December. This first-of-its-kind constituent outreach program focuses on meeting constituents in their own communities by placing a member of his staff in each of the 16 counties for official office hours at least once a month.

“I am pleased to announce my staff’s schedule of community office hours for the remainder of 2011.  For the past 10 months the sprawling 18th district has had greater access to the services provided by their Member of Congress’ office,” said Congressman Gibbs. “Staying connected to the people I am honored to represent is one of my top priorities, and I believe the best way to do that is to hear directly from them.”

“While being out in each community, my staff has met with concerned citizens and assisted them with a variety of important issues. I am glad to continue this unique program and I look forward to building on our success,” said Congressman Gibbs. “I hope constituents will continue to meet with my staff and keep me updated on the issues and concerns that matter most to them.”

Each week, Congressman Gibbs features the current week’s schedule on the homepage of his official website and lists the full schedule on the Community Office Hours page.  Constituents can also sign up to be reminded about upcoming office hours via email on Congressman Gibbs’ website.

Congressman Gibbs’ staff will continue to hold office hours at locations that are more convenient for constituents in each of the district’s 16 counties.  During these office hours, staff provide constituents with the same assistance they would receive if they traveled to the Zanesville office.   This includes help with a variety of services and issues, including Medicare, Veterans Affairs, Social Security, Internal Revenue Service issues, and matters regarding federal legislation.
