Gibbs Congratulates The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Congressman Bob Gibbs released the following statement in response to The Foundation for Appalachian Ohio’s announcement that it was awarded a $100,000 grant from the JPMorgan Chase Foundation.  This money will support the formation of a regional effort to track vital education improvement measures within Appalachian Ohio. 

“I would like to congratulate the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio for receiving this well deserved grant.  This funding will help the Foundation’s efforts to significantly increase high school graduation rates, build a stronger economy and ensure a better quality of life for the residents of Appalachian Ohio.  I thank them for the important work they are doing and look forward to continue working with them in the future.”

Counties in Ohio’s 18th district served by the Foundation for Appalachian Ohio include Carroll, Coshocton, Guernsey, Harrison, Hocking, Holmes, Jackson, Morgan, Muskingum, Ross, Tuscarawas, and Vinton.
