Congressman Gibbs to Begin Accepting Submissions to 2013 Congressional Art Competition
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Rep. Bob Gibbs (R-OH) today announced that Ohio’s 7th Congressional District will begin accepting submissions for the 2013 Congressional Art Competition. The winning artwork will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol.
“I am pleased to announce to the high school artists of Ohio’s 7th Congressional District that my office will begin taking submissions for the 2013 Congressional Art Competition,” said Congressman Gibbs. “I look forward to seeing the winner’s artwork represent Ohio and our communities in the U.S. Capitol.”
Every spring, the U.S. House of Representatives sponsors an art competition for high school students. Any student in grades 9-12 who resides or attends school in the 7th district is eligible to participate. Artwork must be entirely original. Eligible types of art include paintings, drawings, prints, collages, mixed media, computer generated art and photography.
The offices below will be receiving art submissions from April 15th- 19th. Specific times are listed below. Entries may also be dropped off or mailed to Rep. Gibbs’ Ashland Office. Entries must be submitted by April 19th.
