Congressman Bob Gibbs Discusses Pro-Growth Policies at the White House
WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today Congressman Bob Gibbs released the following remarks after meeting with President Obama at the White House:
“This morning, my GOP colleagues and I went to the White House to meet with President Obamaabout our current economic situation. While I am pleased to hear the President say he wants to get spending under control, I was disappointed to hear him continue to speak in generalities. The House has already passed specific plans to spur job creationand reduce our deficit, but we have yet to see a single plan from the President or Congressional Democrats.
“The president must show leadership and present his specific plans to reduce uncertainty and restore confidence in our economy. I encourage him to include real spending cuts and regulatory and tax reforms that will bring certainty to our economy, allowing job-creators to get back to what they do best.”
