Congressman Bob Gibbs Commends $250,000 Grant to Vinton County to Expand Water Service
WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Congressman Bob Gibbs released the following statement applauding Vinton County for receiving a $250,000 grant from the Appalachian Regional Commission. The funds have been allotted to extend water lines into Harrison Township with the installation of 22,700 feet of water line to be operated by Ross County Water Company.
“The expansion of new water service is to residents of Harrison Township is a great step forward. Together, Ross County Water Company and Harrison Township will improve the lives of many residents,” said Congressman Gibbs. “I look forward to seeing this project completed.”
Harrison Township residents will have increased access to a safe and reliable water service. This project will supply new water service to 28 households in the surrounding areas of Hutt, Fairview and Benson Roads. Ross County Water Company will provide $63,000 in local funds bringing the total project funding to $313,000.
