Congressman Bob Gibbs Announces Military Academy Nominees
Washington D.C. – U.S. Rep. Bob Gibbs (R-OH) announced the nomination of eleven students to the United States Services Academies.
In order to qualify for consideration for acceptance into the U.S. Service Academy, students must be nominated by their Member of Congress. Representative Gibbs released the following statement, along with the names of those students who were nominated to our nation’s service academies:
“It is an honor to nominate the following students for entry into the U.S. Air Force Academy, the U.S. Merchant Marine Academy, the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and the U.S. Naval Academy,” said Gibbs. “I wish them all the best as they continue to the application process. Thank you for your desire and dedication to serve our country.”

Evan Collier North Ridgeville, Ohio – Naval Academy, Military Academy of West Point
Russell Ellis, Avon, Ohio – Air Force Academy, Naval Academy
Jacob Grandstaff, Centerburg, Ohio – Air Force Academy, Naval Academy
Christian Petek, Litchfield, Ohio – Naval Academy, Merchant Marine Academy
