Press Release

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Congressman Bob Gibbs today announced his community office hours schedule for May, June, and July.  This first-of-its-kind constituent outreach program focuses on meeting constituents in their own communities by placing a member of his staff in each of the 16 counties for official office hours at least once a month.

“The 18th district is literally the size of New Jersey which, in the past, has left constituents feeling like they didn’t receive the services they needed from their Member of Congress,” said Gibbs.  “One of my goals has been to be more accessible and our unprecedented community office hours program ensures that I am in touch with the priorities and concerns of each community.

“I am very pleased to announce my staff’s community office hours schedule for the next three months,” said Congressman Gibbs.  “My staff has enjoyed being out in each community meeting with concerned citizens and assisting them with a variety of important issues.  I am very pleased with the positive feedback I have received and look forward to building on our success.”

Congressman Gibbs’ staff will continue to hold office hours at locations that are more convenientfor constituents in each of the district’s 16 counties.  During these office hours, staff will continueto provide constituents with the same assistance they would receive if they traveled to the Zanesville office.   This includes help with a variety of services and issues, including Medicare, Veterans Affairs, Social Security, Internal Revenue Service issues, and matters regarding federal legislation.

The new outreach schedule is available on Congressman Gibbs’ official website and Facebook Page.
