I am pleased to see the EPA awarded $8.6 million to help decrease Lake Erie algal blooms. Maintaining safe drinking water is a top priority for these states and as we move forward, it is important to study the causes of these algal blooms and work to lessen the risk to Ohioan’s safety.

Congressman Gibbs welcomed Trevor Poole, a junior from Dover High School, the winner of the 2014 Congressional Art Competition to Washington D.C. on June 26th. Trevor’s artwork entitled, “Corporal Poole,” is a portrait of his father who served 4 years in the Marines and was a part of Operation Restore Hope. The winning piece of art will be displayed in the United States Capitol for one year alongside artwork from congressional districts throughout the country.
