I introduced H.R. 935 to clarify Congressional intent regarding the regulation and use of pesticides in and around navigable waters. Today, this bill passed with bipartisan support and will bring clarity to state and local governments, and farmers.
I am pleased that Regulatory Certainty Act (H.R.4854), Coal Jobs Protection Act of 2014 (H.R. 5077), and Waters of the United States Regulatory Overreach Protection Act of 2014 (H.R. 5078) were successfully passed out of Committee this morning.

Congressman Gibbs welcomed Trevor Poole, a junior from Dover High School, the winner of the 2014 Congressional Art Competition to Washington D.C. on June 26th. Trevor’s artwork entitled, “Corporal Poole,” is a portrait of his father who served 4 years in the Marines and was a part of Operation Restore Hope. The winning piece of art will be displayed in the United States Capitol for one year alongside artwork from congressional districts throughout the country.
