Rep Gibbs Announces Service Academy Nominations
WASHINGTON, DC - On Tuesday, Congressman Bob Gibbs announced nine individuals nominated to the United States Service Academies. Nominees completed a comprehensive nomination application process, including a panel interview with service members and veterans. Nominees showed high academic, physical, and moral standards, standing out in a field of impressive applicants.
"I consider nominating young men and women to the service academies one of the most important and solemn responsibilities as a Member of Congress," said Congressman Bob Gibbs. "This group is the best and brightest of their class, and their commitment to serving our nation should serve as an inspiration to us all. I wish them the best of luck in continuing the application process."
